The Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation is now accepting grant applications for projects aimed at improving health at the community or statewide level. More than $80,000 is available for 2019 grant awards, which may range from $500 to $10,000 each.
Volunteers needed to help inspire future physicians
Be part of a fun, interactive activity designed to inspire young people to consider careers in medicine by volunteering with the Foundation at the Wisconsin Science Festival October 17-19 in Madison.
Nominate a young physician, superhero of medicine or champion of veterans’ health
The Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation is seeking nominations for the Kenneth M. Viste, Jr., MD, Young Physician Leadership Award, the Superhero of Medicine Award and the Champion of Veterans’ Health Award which will be presented at the Foundation’s Annual Dinner on April 17, 2020 in Madison. The nomination deadline is November 1.
Giving strategies adjust to tax law changes
Since the tax law changes at the end of 2017, the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation has seen an increase in donations made through donor-advised funds or through a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) made directly from an IRA.
