The White Coat Campaign has begun!
It’s time for the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation’s annual White Coat Campaign! With a $100 donation, physicians may provide a white coat and a message of welcome and encouragement for a first-year medical student attending school in Wisconsin.
Foundation awards a record $207,500 in scholarships
The Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation has awarded $207,500 in scholarships to 54 students for the 2019-2020 school year. These awards are made possible by physicians and families generously giving back to support and encourage the next generation of medical professionals.
Seven fellowships will advance medical research this summer
The Foundation’s Summer Fellowship program provides opportunities to advance medical and health research and education while also helping medical students gain research experience and/or a deeper understanding of how the medical community can work with government entities or other organizations to improve health outcomes. Seven students will participate in the program this summer.
Foundation event featured awards and laughs
The Foundation’s Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction, held April 5 in Madison, featured a lighthearted comedy theme and recognition of several outstanding award recipients. Honorees were surprised with a song written and performed specifically for them to make the award presentation fun and memorable.
Host fun activities in your community through the Science Festival
The Wisconsin Science Festival—a statewide celebration of science—offers a great opportunity for physicians to engage with their community. County medical societies and health systems can get involved by hosting activities to be advertised as part of the festival.
